Kidderminster's Second Annual Community Awards!

The Community Awards scheme aims to recognise and reward individuals, projects, groups and organisations whose dedication and commitment has improved the lives and well-being of local residents. This year's awards were hugely successful and heart-warming, shining a light on the town's unsung community heroes.

Over 100 guests attended on the evening and Julian Brinton, Managing Director of Wool Classics was the guest of honour, presenting the awards alongside the Mayor of Kidderminster, Councillor Martin Stooke.

The excellent catering and photography was provided by students of The Academy, Kidderminster.

Councillor Martin Stooke, Town Mayor of Kidderminster said:

“We believe these Awards are important to recognise the unsung heroes of our town. It is great to see that there are so many generous people working quietly and passionately to help keep Kidderminster the wonderful place that it is.”

Councillor Sally Chambers, Chairman of Events Committee said:

“Again this year it’s been great to hear of such fantastic acts of kindness and dedication from the Kidderminster people. We were overwhelmed with nominations for this year’s Kidderminster Town Council Community Awards, it was hard to choose the finalists and winners. Congratulations to all nominees, you are the true hero’s of our community.”
