New Mayor for Kidderminster!

Mayor Martin Stooke 2

Yesterday, at our annual Mayor Making Ceremony, Councillor Martin Stooke was installed as Mayor of Kidderminster for the coming year.

The ceremony was hugely sucessful with nearly 200 guests and many civic Mayors and dignitaries from the surrounding areas. We at the Town Council would like to say a massive thank you to those who attended the ceremony and watched Councillor Stooke be invested with his chain and robes at The Town Hall.

Councillor Stooke, a retired DJ, previous member of the Armed Forces and Town Councillor

for Offmore and Comberton said...

'It really is an honour to be appointed as Mayor of Kidderminster. I am looking forward to representing the fantastic residents and communities within our
wonderful town.'

'I am keen to showcase and promote all that the town has to offer.'

Councillor Stooke continues a long tradition for Kidderminster, as the first Mayor was elected in 1836.

Councillor Stooke's Mayoral charities for this year will be Guide Dogs; Alzheimer's Society; and Forest Dog Rescue.
